C&rsquo;est un chroniqueur culinaire et surtout (selon moi) un tr\u00e8s bon photographe culinaire. D&rsquo;origine indienne (il est n\u00e9 \u00e0 Bombay), il vit aujourd&rsquo;hui en Californie. Ce n&rsquo;est pas un cuisinier de formation, il \u00e9tait biologiste mol\u00e9culaire, mais apr\u00e8s avoir lanc\u00e9 en 2011 son blog \u00ab\u00a0A brown table\u00a0\u00bb, il a chang\u00e9 de carri\u00e8re et c&rsquo;est une chance pour nous&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Son blog est magnifique, et je vous invite \u00e0 le consulter<a href=\"https:\/\/niksharmacooks.com\/\" title=\"\"> ici<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le livre:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Season est son premier livre, sorti en langue anglaise en octobre 2018 aux \u00e9ditions \u00ab\u00a0Chronicle books\u00a0\u00bb. Il n&rsquo;est pas traduit en fran\u00e7ais. Chez nous, il est connu pour \u00eatre l&rsquo;auteur de \u00ab\u00a0L&rsquo;\u00e9quation des saveurs\u00a0\u00bb, sorti aux \u00e9ditions Hachette en Novembre 2022. Son 3\u00e8me livre \u00ab\u00a0Vegetables\u00a0\u00bb est sorti en anglais en octobre 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Season est un livre d&rsquo;un peu moins de 300 pages, qui comporte une centaine de recettes. Deux encarts au fil des pages au sujet de l&rsquo;assaisonnement, des pr\u00e9mices de son deuxi\u00e8me livre \u00ab\u00a0L&rsquo;\u00e9quation des saveurs\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chaque chapitre commence par une petite intro, sur ses souvenirs, ou ses id\u00e9es sur le sujet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">LES RECETTES:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Ensuite viennent les recettes. Quelques mots avant chaque recette. Des ingr\u00e9dients clairs, pas toujours simples \u00e0 trouver en magasin, mais sans soucis sur internet. Les mesures sont en cups et spoons, mais des \u00e9quivalents gramme sont donn\u00e9s pour les cups. Les d\u00e9roul\u00e9s des recettes sont clairs et concis. Souvent la liste d&rsquo;ingr\u00e9dients est plus longue que les explications. Certaines ont m\u00eame des pas \u00e0 pas photos tr\u00e8s artistiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le livre se termine par la page des remerciements et un index des recettes par ingr\u00e9dient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mon avis:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>J&rsquo;adore les photographies de Nik Sharma! C&rsquo;est tout d&rsquo;abord pour celles-ci que j&rsquo;ai achet\u00e9 ce livre. Quant aux photos en clair obscur des d\u00e9buts de chapitres, elle sont tout simplement sublimes. Vous ne trouverez pas beaucoup de classiques, et c&rsquo;est justement l&rsquo;originalit\u00e9 qui fait tout le charme de ce livre de Nik Sharma. D&rsquo;un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, si certaines associations vont vous plaire, d&rsquo;autres risquent de vous d\u00e9plaire. Pour ma part je n&rsquo;ai pas accroch\u00e9 sur des recettes comme par exemple les huitres r\u00f4ties aux herbes (je n&rsquo;aime pas les huitres en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral). Je n&rsquo;ai pas non plus envie de tenter une recette comme la soupe au th\u00e9 et \u00e0 la butternut.
