OK, ce n&rsquo;est pas un petit nouveau dans ma biblioth\u00e8que, mais il est tellement beau que je me devais de vous le faire conna\u00eetre. L&rsquo;auteur, Cenk S\u00f6nmezsoy, n&rsquo;est pas tr\u00e8s connu en France, et c&rsquo;est bien dommage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors, qui est-il, Cenk?  Tout d&rsquo;abord, \u00e7a se prononce comment son nom? Pas facile, hein? Amazon m&rsquo;a bien aid\u00e9 \u00e0 ce sujet. C&rsquo;est \u00ab\u00a0jenk sun-mass-soy\u00a0\u00bb. Il est blogueur, auteur, photographe et styliste culinaire \u00e0 Istambul, sa ville natale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peu attir\u00e9 par la cuisine \u00e9tant enfant, \u00e0 part pour d\u00e9vorer les plats familiaux, il se met \u00e0 cuisiner vers 18 ans quand il quitte sa famille pour \u00e9tudier. En quelques ann\u00e9es, il ma\u00eetrise les recettes familiales et r\u00e9gale ses colocataires \u00e0 San Francisco. Puis, de retour \u00e0 Istambul, il essaie de reproduire les plats am\u00e9ricains qui lui manquaient le plus. Et en mars 2006, il cr\u00e9e son blog \u00ab\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cafefernando.com\/author\/\" title=\"\">caf\u00e9 fernando<\/a>\u00ab\u00a0. 1 an plus tard, son blog est remarqu\u00e9 par Dorie Greenspan, et l&rsquo;aventure commence. R\u00e9ceptions, articles, et enfin le livre. Un livre qu&rsquo;il a mis presque 5 ans \u00e0 \u00e9crire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">LE LIVRE:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The artful baker est sorti en langue anglaise en 2017 aux \u00e9ditions Abrams. C&rsquo;est la traduction du livre original \u00ab\u00a0Cafe fernando\u00a0\u00bb sorti en langue turque en juin 2014 (en 2023, ils en sont \u00e0 la 17\u00e8me r\u00e9\u00e9dition). Cenk en est l&rsquo;auteur, le photographe, le designer et le styliste. Le croissant est tout simplement irr\u00e9sistible. Cenk nous retrace l&rsquo;histoire de sa recette, comment il en est arriv\u00e9 \u00e0 la cr\u00e9er ou encore les modifications qu&rsquo;il y a amen\u00e9. La section \u00e9quipement est tr\u00e8s bien faite, avec beaucoup d&rsquo;infos et des photos de ses moules et autres. Je ne vous l&rsquo;avais pas encore dit? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Merci Cenk de l&rsquo;avoir \u00e9crit. Entre parenth\u00e8ses, j&rsquo;esp\u00e8re qu&rsquo;il en \u00e9crit un autre en ce moment. Ben oui, \u00e7a fait 10 ans que le premier est paru, ce serait bien d&rsquo;en sortir un deuxi\u00e8me, non? Il y a des auteurs qui sortent 1 livre par an, je ne lui demande pas une telle prolixit\u00e9 mais bon, 10 ans Cenk!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>J&rsquo;adore avoir le choix entre des recettes simples et d&rsquo;autres plus complexes. Entre des classiques revisit\u00e9s et des cr\u00e9ations sp\u00e9ciales (celle pour le lancement du magazine de Dolce &amp; Gabbana est superbe). J&rsquo;aime qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y ait pas trop de gla\u00e7age \u00e0 la cr\u00e8me sur les g\u00e2teaux.  J&rsquo;adore la tarte chocolat et caramel. J&rsquo;aime la touche turque de certains de ces desserts d&rsquo;influence plut\u00f4t europ\u00e9enne et am\u00e9ricaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bref, j&rsquo;aime &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une mention sp\u00e9ciale pour les photos. C&rsquo;est un livre magnifique, que je vous conseille d&rsquo;ajouter \u00e0 votre biblioth\u00e8que.
